About Dipa

Dipa is a Kathak dancer from Toronto, Canada. Dipannita started training in Kathak at the tender age of six and has been training in this dance form for the past 25 years. She has had the honour to be a senior student of the Late Smt. Sandhya Desai, senior disciple of Padma Bhushan Smt. Kumudini Lakhia. 

Over the years, Dipannita has performed at a number of events across the GTA. She has had the opportunity to choreograph and perform many solo performances in prestigious events namely Toronto Sanskriti Sangstha, desiFEST, Your Dance Fest, Prospects, Dance Matters & Toronto International Dance Festival.
